Swenco Limited is proud to announce our newest venture, the production of medical-grade procedure masks right here in Waterloo, Ontario.

With the global spread of COVID-19 in early 2020, the major shortage of masks was a wake-up call for manufacturers, especially in North America, to fill the need for domestically made Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Swenco Limited is bringing our tradition of high-quality manufacturing to the production of our new line of AirGUARDZ™ procedure masks. We have worked with innovative partners to develop masks to keep you safe, while delivering on comfort and quality.

"Swenco Limited has been in business in Ontario for almost 60 years. Like many Canadians and Canadian businesses, we were hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic," says Paul Sweeny, President. "We decided that we needed to come forward and be a part of the solution. We were able to open a state-of-the-art mask production facility in Waterloo and with this expansion we hope to continue supporting our community for years to come."

Remembering Brian Hartman

The entire Swenco Limited family is mourning the loss of Brian Hartman, a dear friend and a long-time employee. Brian has worked at Swenco for nearly 25 years and his optimism, ingenuity, work ethic and friendly manner will leave a lasting impact on all who knew him. To so many he was a leader and a friend as well as a duct tape wizard and a great dancer. Brian’s steadfast presence at Swenco, and especially at our annual Family Picnic, will be greatly missed.

Our thoughts are with Tammy and all of Brian’s family and friends at this difficult time. Brian’s obituary can be found here.

Quality Assurance

Our Quality Assurance department plays a big role in our day to day activities. Products are tested continuously throughout the manufacturing process. Through pre-production inspections, in-process Quality inspections, and final visual inspection at the packing stage, each and every product and process is monitored to ensure a continuous level of quality from start to finish.

Product Development

At Swenco, we are able to turn ideas and concepts into finished products!  With a fully equipped Tool, die and mould shop we are able to develop finished products to be manufactured on state of the art injection molding equipment, high speed precision punch presses and ancilliary assembly equipment, for any number of different product types. With a quality assurance testing facility equipped with modern computer controlled equipment, our quality levels are never compromised.

CSA Category Certified

Since most of our Safety Footwear products are manufactured to meet and exceed the strict standards of the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) we are very proud to have been awarded the prestigious level of "Category Certified" by CSA. This is a level usually reserved for substantially larger manufacturers of CSA certified components and a level that has never been achieved by a manufacturer of Safety Footwear Components. This is a strong reflection of the level of Quality Assurance that has been established for every product we produce.
